COVID-19 Response

Thank you for riding with the River Ride!  Please know that this bicycle tour is much more that just a bike ride!  This provides a substantial amount of money for the work of City Life at Rally Point Youth Center.  Many Lima teens benefit from your registration and the sponsors that generously give toward the event!  

We are proceeding with the River Ride and have made plans to maintain social distance and a safe ride. 
 
We humbly ask for your help in making this years ride fun, safe, and honoring to our governing officials that have our communities bests interest in mind.  
 
Allen county is a level 3.  What does that mean?  Below is an excerpt from the Ohio Department of Health website that helps clarify when a mask is needed.

Ohio Department of Health states:
“Those in counties designated as Red Alert Level 3 or Purple Alert Level 4 are required to wear a face covering: 
  • In any indoor location that is not a residence;
  • When outdoors and unable to consistently maintain a distance of six feet or more from individuals who are not members of their household; or
  • While waiting for, riding, driving, or operating public transportation, a taxi, a private car service, or a ride-sharing vehicle.
The order does not apply to children under the age of 10 or any other minor who cannot safely wear a face covering. The order also reflects the mask guidance in place for employees and businesses which does not require a person to wear a mask if their physician advises against it, if wearing a mask is prohibited by federal regulation, if communicating with the hearing impaired, when alone in an office or personal workspace, and other similar measures.”

This is what you can expect as you come to the rie.  
  • Registration that will be open from 6:30am to 11:00am to give riders a large window to come as they please to start their tour.  We hope to avoid crowds at the registration table.
  • Markings that are spaced out 6ft for registration lines.  
  • Pre-registration lines that are divided into alphabetical groups to help spread riders out.
  • We do not expect riders to wear a mask while riding.  You may need to give additional space from other riders that are not from your household.
  • Food will be packaged, and water will be bottled.  
  • Staff and volunteers will be wearing masks when in contact with riders
  • Gloves will be worn to serve food with consideration to cross contamination.
  • Tables and seating will be spaced out with hand sanitizer available to enjoy a boxed lunch after the ride.  Tables will be washed after riders leave to ensure clean surfaces for others. 
  • Riders are free to take their boxed lunch with them to enjoy at home.
